Instructions from David Fiddes Directly from his email... Installation is pretty simple. Just unzip the cygwin-rtems-install.zip and place the installation package (*.tgz) in the same directory. From an NT command prompt (9x untested as yet) run "install " e.g. "install j:\unix". The install program will then create the appropriate directories, registry entries and unpack the cygwin tarball into the correct place. Once you've done that (and applied the included patch for the current snapshot/beta) you can just unpack RTEMS source, gather your source tarballs and patches into /usr/local/src/redhat/SOURCE and build your own RPMS, RTEMS, etc, etc. There's a bundle of stuff that could be neater but my main concern is that folk plonk any old .tgz in the same directory as the installer...it'd be nice if it was a GUI installer and it created a Start Menu shortcut...an icon would be cute too ;) Original site is below but these files are mirrored in this directory. http://www.users.surfaid.org/~fiddes/coldfire/rtems/cygwin-rtems-20000207.tgz (16MB) http://www.users.surfaid.org/~fiddes/coldfire/rtems/cygwin-rtems-install.zip (300kB)
